This last weekend we went to Utah for Alex's Grandma's funeral. We had a wonderful time there being with lots of family and seeing everyone. We also enjoyed being with our family of three. It was so nice to have a long long car ride with Alex to myself. I really needed it, I have missed him so with how busy he is. We loved just talking and sharing our memories together. We stopped in Boise for a "date" at Red Robin and then just took our time going. The weekend of course went to fast. On Saturday we were able to go to Provo for the funeral. It was so good. We loved learning more about his Grandma and stories that were told. We had such a spiritual experience while there. It was amazing to see her in her temple clothes and to know what each piece means and the promises there. It was so touching. Alex and I both talked afterward about our testimonies and how we had both felt them strengthened. Alex had the opportunity to dedicate her grave, he did such a wonderful job and the spirit there was just touching. I am so thankful for the Grandma that she was to Alex and for the legacy that she left. At her funeral the one thing that stood out to me is that she never was heard of talking ill or bad about someone. I know that at times I need to work and be better at this a lot better. She I know set that example and I want to follow it. She also never complained about anything even though she had good reason too.. I too hope to be better with my complaints. I am so thankful for the plan of salvation and for the peace that it brings to the human heart. Afterward we went to a lunch in, then all decided to walk along the Provo river which was one of her favorite things to do during the fall, and then we went to one of her favorite restaurants for dinner. Such a great way to celebrate her life.
Alex and I stayed with Grandma Taylor. She always has things so nice and ready when we visit. It was so good to be with her and spend lots of time there. On Sunday we went to church together and Uncle Brad was there so fun to see him! After church Alex let me go have a nap by myself :) Something that I have needed. He was so sweet to say I know that during each night you are cramped with Paysen and me pretty much on top of you, why don't you go and sleep on your own:) Even though I love sleeping with both of them, it was so nice to be able to lay down by myself!! That night we went to Janis's for dinner and Uncle Brad came fun to be with all of them. We then headed home Monday as soon as we got home Alex got ready for work and was gone most of the night. Paysen and I cuddled and read books and sat by the fire for it had snowed that day! Good memories were made. I love being with my family. I know this is long but I wanted to write down these thoughts. I am so thankful for our many blessings and for being able to spend quality time with each other.,
