These are a few of my favorite things!!

My Beautiful Tulips have come up and line up the walkway to our front door and are also around all of our trees!! To be honest I am not sure how they are growing, because in August we did a lot of yard work and cleaning up the yard. We have cement flower pots that are in the ground that they are growing out of and I wedded and took everything out of those and same to around the trees we replaced all of the old soil and everything and still WALLA here are beautiful flowers! I absolutely love them we have red ones, a light pink, and a vibrant yellow! I just love being outside and looking at them and soaking in the sun! Alex laughs because when we planted a ton of flowers last year they all died because well I realized I am not the best at watering them or taking care of flowers.. These are my type of flowers though! You don't have to do anything and they survive! They just make my day everyday:)

My sweet SURPRISE from Alex

I went to my sister in laws baby shower and one of her best friends got her a J.J Cole diaper bag!! And I absolutely loved it!! Well I looked online once to see that  they are very expensive and so I just looked at what the sight had to offer and showed my husband.. and well he then ordered me the more expensive one that I loved and found it for a little cheaper!! It finally came and I absolutely love everything about it!! It has huge pockets inside and a pacifier holder just for it. It also connects to the handles of our stroller so instead of bending down and getting it out from the basket every time I need something its just right there!! Its also adorable. I am so thankful that Alex is so mindful of my "wants" needs.. He just takes the best care of me!! I am so glad that he is mine!!

Love Being with my Little Family

The last few days have just been gorgeous!!  We have had fun being outside a lot doing yard work and projects! I have been painting and re doing some baskets, and we also got free wood so I have been doing a lot with it and Alex has cut it perfectly for how I want it so we have been having fun working on those outside. On Sunday after church we went for a walk and then to the park to swing on the swings. We just enjoyed our back deck and sitting out there. Such a great way to spend Sunday!!

27 Weeks

After my sixth month I have really enjoyed being pregnant. It has been so much fun getting everything ready for him and working on the nursery together with my husband. I have had a lot of projects going on to make sure that it is just perfect for him. I know, I know he's really not going to know the difference for awhile but we still want to give him the best and do all that we can for him. My husband has been so great to just get the top of the line things and the best of the best for his son. We have had fun figuring out all the best products and getting things. You could say that we have just had the time of our lives. Alex loves going to look for baby things and always is saying for date night can we just go walk the stores and get things for him:) haha I love it and its fun that together we just have enjoyed this time to prepare for parenthood. At the end of March we went to my best friend Bj's wedding and my sister Leslie was so sweet to do my 27 th week pictures for us. Alex felt a little left out that he wasn't in the 20 week pictures so he wanted to for sure be in these ones. I am so glad that things like that get to him!! He loves being involved and I am so thankful for that.. He hasn't missed an appointment and it means more to me than he knows. Even if he is finishing up a job he'll go earlier just so he wont be late in meeting me there. Usually he has to leave really early those mornings but makes all sacrifice to be there for me and his little boy. He is such a great daddy already!

Telling our family and friends what we were having..

The night before we found out I decided to make a cake, a pregnant belly one :) I also made cupcakes and we frosted half of them with blue frosting and the other half with pink frosting. We were having a big get together that night with family and friends to share our news!! We thought this would be a fun way to share with them. So at 5 pm we went to my sister in laws Stephanie's and we brought the cake and cupcakes... First she had us play a couple of fun games.. One that had to do with baby names and another one that had to do with the gender.. We then brought the cake in the middle of the table and everyone choose the cupcake that they thought it was a pink one or a blue one... then I made two hearts a blue one and a pink one, and after everyone had picked which cupcake we then together put the blue heart on the belly of the cake!! Everyone picked a blue cupcake except for two people!! Kinda funny.. It was so much fun to share that we were having A BOY!! Morgan who is three said no take the boy back and get a girl.. It was so funny. We then enjoyed cupcakes and being together! Such a fun night.

The Pregnancy cake I made the night before we found out what we were having. My first time ever to use fondant.

BoY oR gIrL??

After coming back from McMinnville the next day ( February 13 th 2012) we had our appointment to see whether we were having a Boy or a Girl.. We were really anxious and excited to see what we would be having so that we could order all of our baby furniture and things for our little one!! It was at 9:00 that morning at the Grande Rhonde hospital! We were really excited and couldn't wait. We then went and saw our baby, the person doing our ultrasound finally said your baby really wants you to know that he is a BOY!! Alex didn't think he heard her right and then said really its a boy!! haha. We really wanted to have a boy first but tried to convince ourselves that it was most likely a girl.. So we were so excited when she said that. So fun. He is a really active baby and loves to move all the time!! Especially right when mommy is ready for bed he then thinks its his playtime. We enjoy feeling him and watching his every move :) He was flipping a lot in the ultrasound that it took awhile to get all the things that our Doctor needed. The tech was so nice just to let us watch him. We all just laughed. Everytime she tried to put the thing on him he would try to push it with his hand or kick it off of him! I am glad at times she would just stop and say just watch him and enjoy and she really took a lot of time with us so we could just see him.. Loved it!!

20 Weeks

We were in McMinnville with all of my family when we hit our half way mark of being pregnant. My sister Bonnie took my 20 week pictures for me. From being so sick I don't really even look pregnant but we tried different angles so that my little bump would show :) This same day we found out that my brother Tommy and his wife Jess are expecting twins!! We are all so excited for them and love that they are so close together, it will be so fun to watch our babies grow up along side each other!! Also Alex's sister and sister in law are both expecting and are a month (ish) ahead of us. So tis the season for babies!!

Our first Ultrasound Nov. 29 th 2011

Expecting our little one!!

Alex and I always wanted to start our family right away, and we always felt like it would happen sooner than later.. We found out in the middle of October that we were expecting. We were so anxious waiting for our pregnancy test to come and then when it was positive I think we were both just a little shocked. We had our first Appointment on November 29 th 2011. We met our doctor for the first time, Dr. Knight which we instantly fell in love with. She is from the South and has the good southern values that we love. She made us feel so special and like it was the first time she had ever done this! She got excited along with us and just made it amazing. It was such a sacred experience to see our little one for the first time. What an emotional visit. Alex just sat there and kept wiping the tears off of his cheeks.. We enjoyed just watching our little baby and seeing that he measured right and everything. So fun to know that this child will be ours forever. That night we went out to celebrate at Dairy Queen we had fun talking about what it will be like to be parents. We then went for a long drive and just enjoyed being together and being able to experience together the sweetness of life.

Pictures from our Honeymoon:)

Major Update :)

Alex and I started with our dating story and well slacked as you can see.. We got married on the 12th of August 2011.. it was a perfect wedding I wouldn't of changed anything or ask for anything better. It became a three day event and we enjoyed every min. of it. My mom and I had a blast getting all the details done and planning for such a special day. On our anniversary Ill have to write in more detail all about it :)  Alex and I honeymooned in Lake Tahoe at a really nice resort that had everything. It was Gorgeous the whole time we were there and we just enjoyed ourselves and had so fun!! Then we headed to La Grande Oregon woot woot.. Where we now reside still. We have a beautiful home here. Its so fun to decorate and re decorate and I just love being home cooking, crafting, yard work, and anything else that has to do with our home I just love it. Alex finished working for the forest service the end of November and now is running a carpet cleaning business here! He does so well for our family. He will start the pre PA program at Eastern Oregon University in the Fall.. The best part is he has it all paid for through grants and scholarships YAHOO. Our ward here is so wonderful, we have so many friends that have become our instant family here. We are really busy being Ward Missionaries the perfect calling for us:) We absolutely love the families that we are teaching each week and working with. It has been the best teaching the gospel with Alex, he truly teaches me so much daily. We couldn't ask for a better ward. So thats the update on us:)
