Eight months down one to go!!!

Yesterday I hit my one more month mark!! I had a little bit of a freak out just like ahh this is really happening!! Especially after Nattie my cousin had her little boy.. We grew up together and are the same age and we were exactly a month a part in our pregnancy's ( due dates) and so we have had fun reminding each other where we are:) haha.. It seems like Alex and I were jumping up and down in the bathroom finding out that we are expecting our first. Or that we both agreed on his name. Its been the best time to prepare together to become parents here shortly. Here are some pictures throughout this whole process.. I really just like the pregnancy pics. that we have gotten done not lame bathroom pics lol.. but here they are:) I had to look at them to remember that it really has been this long!! We are anxiously awaiting Paysen's arrival!! I ve been deep cleaning and finishing all projects so we can just enjoy this little one..

MEMORIAL DAY

We had a great Memorial Day. I was just really horrible at taking pictures. On Thursday I went up and spent time with just my dad. We had a great time together. I also spent time with Grandma Roberts and had the best talk with her.. I ll always cherish that talk and the things that we talked about. I look up to her so much and am so thankful for the relationship that we have. Grandma, Grandpa, Dad and I were able to meet Alex after work for dinner at the truck stop, and then we all drove back to camp. AL and I got our Tahoe ready to sleep in:) fun fun.. We love Ukiah and the memories that we have there!

The rest of our family came over that night and got in about one in the morning. So fun to see all of them and be with them for the weekend. Of course our days consisted of drives, ice cream cones, trips to Ukiah, relaxing, crafts, talking, laughs, campfires, no make up, and love just being together. It was a fun get away even though we live so close:)

On Friday: We had everyone over for dinner at our home. We loved it. Alex and I cooked for everyone and I just loved having everyone in our home. We had pineapple and strawberries for our appetizer, then Alex made his Teriyaki chicken, and I made mash potatoes, salad, corn on the cob, and then we had ice cream with strawberries for dessert!! Fun Fun!! All the girls stayed and we went swimming at our athletic club and the boys went back to camp.. Us girls then met up with Susan and her family and went to DQ!!

Saturday we went on lots of day trips of looking for elk and deer. We saw a ton and had fun.. We had S'mores that night around the camp fire.. the best part was trying to get kale to go for a snipe hunt with sessie.. She scared the poor kid to death.

Sunday we went to the truck stop for breakfast with all of us. Little Ayla pulled a kaylee rose and went missing for a little bit.. We also went to Ukiah for an ice cream cone. Susan and her family came up that night and we had a great dinner with them and had fun getting back rubs and talking.

Monday morning of course came way too soon but I think we were all a little exhausted and ready for some good sleep.. It of course is always hard to say good bye to family. I cried my whole drive home but thats alright. Thankfully it wont be too long before we are together again. Our bed did feel great to be in again!
The girls at Dairy Queen after swimming;)

May 28 th

A year ago today, Alex asked me to marry him!! It was the best decision of my life to say YES to that question. I am really thankful that he is mine and that we have each other through all things. He has brought so much happiness and joy in my life and I cannot imagine life without him!! He planned it out perfectly of how to ask me! So grateful for today and that he choose me! I feel so blessed to be his wife and I am glad that he is mine forever!! Thankfully we have Eternity for one lifetime is just not enough for us!
One of the best days of our lives!

He took me to where we went on our first date..

At Cinco de Mayo with both sides of our families after he proposed!
Alex had it all planned out that when we were camping with my family for memorial day that he would ask me to marry him! His sisters helped him set everything up.. He surprised me with a picnic with take out from Moys.. Our first date was there and then he had our pictures all over the place with sparkling apple cider and a huge bouquet of flowers for me.. After we opened our fortune cookies and he had inside them the first fortunes that we got that first date.. So sweet with our songs in the background. We then went hiking to our spot and he carried me to the top and the whole time I kept thinking I really need to tell him I am not the hiker type of girl.. He then took me to our spot and gave me another fortune cookie- It said Marry me? and as I looked up he was down on one knee and then he asked!!

Some of our engagement pictures!

Its been the best dance ever since!!

I still cant believe that it has been a year ago today!

Mother's Day!!

At 5:30 We had a Mothers Day BBQ with all of our friends. We had so much fun with them!! It was the most perfect day for a BBQ. We had it at Riverside Park and soaked up the sun. We had the best food with the best company. Such a great way to end the day. Here are some pictures from all the events of Mothers day. I started backwards I always seem to do that but just keep reading haha :)

The guys playing football

The food was to die for!! It was a perfect day for a BBQ too.. We had so much fun! The boys played football and soccer and us girls just sat around and talked and talked and soaked up the sun!! It was so fun! We had the best grilled chicken, salads, and desserts yum yum.. It made Mothers day so fun!

The sweet babies had a ton of fun too.. I love that they are all close in age!!

We do a lot with Bree and Alysh! On Friday we all went swimming and then to Pizza Hut for dinner altogether so fun! It was a great way to start the weekend!! Love these girls

some of us at the BBQ:) so fun and YUMMY

After church Alex and I went to cooking! We were having a Mothers Day BBQ with all of our friends at Riverside park.. Al made a pasta salad that was so yummy and I made chocolate covered strawberries with pound cake skewers! They didnt turn out exactly how I wanted them to but they tasted good so thats all I guess that matters!

I love being a mommy to this little boy. It truly is amazing to watch him grow and develop! I love watching his every move and feel him daily. I hope that he knows how much his mommy loves him!

I am so excited to be Paysen's Momma!! He has already brought so much Joy into my life

After church I came home to a long letter from Alex. It will be one of my treasures for a lifetime. He has such a way with words and makes me just feel so good. I cherish our marriage and what makes it. I am also excited to be parents together to learn and grow with each other in raising these sweet babies of ours! This was another cherry on top. It took me forever to read just from crying! So sweet.

The night before Mother's Day was not the greatest I had been up all night in pain and in and out of the bathtub, Alex of course stayed up with me the whole night and was by my side through it all. This was probably the greatest gift that he could of ever gotten me and yet not just on Mother's day but he does it every time no matter!! Even if I have to just go to the bathroom in the night he gets up with me to make sure that I am okay. He surely is the biggest blessing in my life. I couldnt imagine life without my Alex.
My sweetheart and I on Mothers day before church!

I woke up to breakfast made by Alex!! We got a Belgain waffle maker for Christmas and this is the first time that we had waffles. They were so YUMMY! He also made eggs, orange juice and cut up fruit for me all of my favorite things! I also woke up to the surprise of an outfit for Paysen that I have wanted that says mommas little all star:) and a new shirt for me, and (new summer dishes that I have been really wanting!! ) Alex felt so bad because he tried to make it to the store that they are from but they closed by the time he made it there, so I am getting them today!! So excited!!

This Mother's Day was extra special this year with expecting our first baby boy here next month, my heart was just so full all day knowing that I will be his Mother here upon the Earth to raise him. Alex made this day so special by surprising me throughout the whole day with things. I couldn't ask for a better husband I am so thankful for him and the love that we share. I am so thankful that we have been so blessed to become parents (here shortly) and am thankful to be able to be the mother of our children what a sacred call. I am so glad that I have my mother to look to of how to fulfill this calling!

I am so thankful for my Mother! What perfect love that she gives her family through giving all of her time and energy in our behalf.  I am so thankful that I have always been able to call her Momma, through my triumphs, sorrows, Joys, achievements, disappointments, and accomplishments, That I always have known that she is right there holding my hand through all things. She has truly brought so much joy into my life. I am so thankful for the sacred relationship that we have as Mother and daughter. She means everything to me. I am so thankful for her example, The greatest gift that she has given me is teaching me right from wrong and instilling in my heart The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her testimony and love and devotion truly is an example of a righteous women, how I have loved learning by her knee. I love you mom with all of my heart. How blessed I am to be one of yours!!

Paysen's room... Almost done!!

Our little boy's crib!! I cannot wait until I can actually put him in here:) We ordered our crib like two months ago but we were so anxious that we put it together the next day! I absolutely love it. We ordered his bedding and its on its way. So I am excited to put it on:)

Paysen's Mobile!!  Lets just say we had a blast trying to put them up!! haha it was an adventure thats for sure. Our ceilings are super high and so it took both of us to get them up. Thanks to my husband he was able to do it exactly how I wanted it and pictured it. I love the dimension that it gives to his room:)

The Final result.. Its in the corner from his crib.

I loved the way that it turned out
I finished his Dream Big saying on his wall. When we went to Tri cities we found the "BIG" they were only 1.50 per letter, I wanted this saying in his room but wasn't sure on if I wanted to do vinyl lettering or what.. I already had the DREAM lettering and when we found the "big" in this lettering I thought perfect! I  was glad at the contrast that it gives. I painted them grey to match the rest of his room.

In  January my sister Bonnie was in town and she convinced me to go to goodwill and she totally made me fall in love with the great finds there. We found this glider rocking chair for 9.99 and so I bought it for our little boy's room. At the time I didn't know what I was having but I needed her help covering it, so we picked out fabric and covered the cushions.

Heres what it looked like when I bought it
The fabric that we choose

The start of covering them

All finished with covering it..I honestly could not have done this without my sister Bonnie!! It turned out so great!!

I then painted the wood all black!! It was a two and a half day process with all the nicks and grooves so worth it though. I loved how the paint turned out. I was nervous at first thinking that it wasnt going to look the way that I wanted it too.. but thankfully it really worked out.

Ready to bring it inside!! I was so happy when it was finally done.. A lot of sitting in awkward positions to paint it
It matches his room so well. I love it
